Like my reproductive system isn't messed up enough, AF decided to show in the middle of the afternoon yesterday! Why does she do this to me? NORMALLY (like that's a word I can really use) she'll show up bright and early in the morning. Only one other time since TTC has she shown up at any other time of the day. She wasn't on my "likes" list at all before and now she really isn't on the list. argh!!!! She better be somewhat nice to me this time around (yeah right. Like that will ever happen.)
So I guess this cycle marks the beginning of another round of deployment-induced abstinence (aka TAB). Hubby will be leaving soon, so it's going to be about 8 months before we can do anything TTC related or IF treatment related. *sigh* Sometimes this military thing just gets in the way of real life. I'm not complaining one bit though. I'm proud of my hubby for what he does. The sacrifices we do because of his job are so worth it.
How was everyone's weekend? I hope everyone had as gorgeous weather as we did here in Colorado! It was mid-50s and beautiful!! Plus, the Vikes pulled off a pretty big win over the Cowboys which made my day yesterday (before AF ruined my afternoon). Now on to the Saints. It's gonna be a tough one, but I have faith in my Vikes.

Whirlwind Week
Hard to believe it is already Saturday! Where in the world did this week go? At this time last week, Hubby and I were scrambling trying to make sure everything was ready for our friends to come help us move. The cinnamon rolls were pulled out of the fridge, the boxes were packed and taped, and the furniture was dismantled. Now here it is a week later and I'm sitting at the computer in our new home with boxes still all around me. It's kinda crazy!
So this past week...Monday we had a chest freezer (late Christmas gift) delivered to our house, so that pretty much blew my morning. I got a little bit of unpacking done, but not too much. Tuesday was my cleaning day. I had to drop paperwork off at the housing office and asked for a cleaning list for the old house. Since they will soon be tearing down our old house, I thought it'd be a pretty skate cleaning list. Yeah right!! We literally had to scrub everything from top to bottom in the old house - walls, bathrooms, appliances, light fixtures, window blinds, windows - you name it, I'm sure I cleaned it! I was less than impressed. The appliances I could understand - they like to have extras on hand as replacements if they ever need them. But scrubbing the walls? What difference does that make if they won't even move anyone in there?!? I was a little perturbed by the whole thing. Plus, to make things worse, I had no idea how thorough they are when they do inspections. At our last base, the lady was very thorough and I knew and expected it when we had our final house inspections. Here...yeah not so much. I cleaned the old house to our last base's standards, but later learned (on Thursday) that I could have probably done half the work and still been fine. I know for next time!
So that was a majority of my week - cleaning! We've gradually unpacked a few boxes here and there, but there's still quite a bit to do. That will be my day today, hopefully.
As for other news...

As for other news...
- I learned that the surgery center where I had my Lap doesn't have a copy of my surgery photos. Apparently, the computer system that they uses begins to copy over photos after it reaches a total of 200. It took them over 3 weeks to find that out and then I had to call and find it out for myself. So now I have wasted 3 weeks of my time waiting for non-existent surgery photos. I emailed Dr. K. to let him know that the only copy is with Dr. M and they aren't allowed to release them to me for some odd reason. We'll see what happens with that.
- My 28-year-old sister called me this past week and bawled and complained like a little junior high girl. The reason? She claimed my mother told my brother's friend that she didn't like her and blah blah blah. My sister is such a drama queen sometimes. Heck, she wasn't even talking to my mom or brother for a few days. She has since returned to talking to my brother, but won't even bother to call my mom. How childish is that?!?!
- Hubby will be leaving soon. :'( He has to go to training at 2 different locations, so he'll be in and out of here for the next month or so. He'll be gone for about 10 days, back for maybe a week, then gone for another week or two. Then, home for a couple of weeks then gone for 6 months. It sucks, but I'll manage. I have the past 4 times, I'm sure I can make due this time too!
- I've had the privilege of meeting a few more wives here on base. Our new neighbor's hubby is deployed and she will be moving in a couple of months. She seems incredibly nice and bubbly and definitely a fun person to be around! The other wife, I haven't really "met" (I don't really know her name), but she is actually our old almost-neighbor. She lives in a building right next to our old house, and we shared neighboring spots in the carport. Thursday night, we stood outside and talked for quite awhile and I never realized how nice she really is! She has a 19-month old girl and is expecting another girl in a few months. Once I get settled in, I think I'll make the oh-so-long walk over to her house and spend some time with her. She's a stay-at-home-mom whose husband works insanely long hours (every other day, he works 24 hours).
- Last night, Hubby and I went to see 2012 with the youth group. That was not quite what I was expecting! I actually really enjoyed it!! It's Day After Tomorrow meets Speed - action packed and such a great movie!
- Also speaking of the youth group, I've kinda joined the youth group worship team. My first week singing with them and I had to lead the very first song. It went really well! This past week, we had a new worship leader with us and I don't think the band has ever sounded so good! I can't wait to see what happens with the group.

I need a back massage!
Yesterday was the big moving day! Originally, we had about 18 people lined up to help us out. Well, I got an email from one couple saying the husband's knee was acting up and they both had stressful weeks of work and just wouldn't be able to help us. Then, a few of Hubby's work friends didn't show either. All in all, we ended up with about 9 people helping. To help bribe a few of them, I told them I would be making homemade cinnamon rolls and we'd have juice and coffee that morning. Then, to finish the day off, we'd have pizzas and sodas. I think that helped a little!! Haha
But overall, the move went so smoothly! About 2 hours after we started loading the truck, we were done. The truck was emptied and everything put in the house or shed. It was a miracle. I knew it wouldn't take long, but 2 hours to completely pack up a house and unload the moving truck!?!?!?!!? I was shocked. What can I say - we have some amazing friends! I think a lot of it helped that I had packed up nearly everything before the day even started. Plus, our bed, futon, and tables (dining, coffee, end tables, etc) were all dismantled which made loading a whole lot easier. All in all the day went by really well and without a hitch (aside from all the dirt, sand, and mud that was dragged into and throughout our old house). It was nice to have a little bit of time to just relax some and unpack a few items last night. Now the real fun begins - unpacking everything and cleaning the old house! whew....do I ever have my work cut out for me this week!

2 More Days!
Today is super exciting because........we only have 2 more days of living in this house with the stinky neighbors!! I can't wait!! Tomorrow we'll be getting the keys to the new place and moving a few things over ourselves. Saturday though, we'll be having a few friends (okay...like 12 friends) coming over to help us move everything else! (I bribed them with homemade cinnamon rolls and pizza.) Now I probably shouldn't be writing a blog post since I still have packing to do, but I just couldn't help it. I'm giddy with excitement!!!
Aside from the moving thing...
I'm still waiting on one place for my surgery records so I can send all my recs down to Dr. K. I may just have to give them a call again and see what's up! It's been nearly 3 weeks since I first contacted them. Granted, the lady did tell me that they would have to go through the computers to see if my surgery was saved on one of them, but still!! It shouldn't take this long. And the fact that that is all I'm waiting for? I-Yi-Yi... Whodathunk it would be this long or this hard of a struggle trying to get medical records. I've never had this problem before. Ever.
So I'll keep this short since I hear those empty boxes calling my name. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend (aside from the crazy blizzards and snow up north)!

Welcome 2010!
Happy New Year to everyone! It's hard to believe that we are already starting a new decade. Time has gone by so fast, but I'm definitely looking forward to what this year will bring!
Since most people usually reflect on the past year, I thought I'd do something different. I'm going to write a list of a few things that I'm looking forward to this year.
1. Moving into a new house.
2. Getting away from the stinky neighbors. (okay 1 & 2 kinda go together)
3. Practicing my motorcycle riding skills this summer.
4. Celebrating with friends as they bring new babies into the world.
5. Hiking to Pikes Peak (hopefully!)
6. Congratulating a former co-worker on her retirement.
7. Planting flowers in the Spring.
8. Finally starting IVF in August.
9. Working on getting my 6-pack abs back.
10. Snuggling on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate.
11. Sending care packages to my husband while he's deployed.
12. Building the relationships and friendships I have with people.
13. Taking cake decorating classes with a friend.
14. White water rafting!
15. Watching the sun set over the mountains.
There's so much more that I could write, but for now, it's a good start for me. The only bummer part of 2010 that I can think of is that Hubby will be deploying for a majority of the year...hence why we won't be starting IVF until August. But heck, that's only 8 months away!
