My temp shot way up today, which was somewhat of a shock. It's been so up and down these past couple of weeks, I never know what's going to happen. (Want to check it out? Click here to see my chart.)
To add to the confusing temps, I've had serious cramping on my left side all morning. Occasionally it will also hit my mid lower abdomen, but mostly, it's on my left side. It's so uncomfortable, and if I didn't know that I was 7 DPO today, I'd almost think that AF is on her way tomorrow, although I know that's not going to happen.
So I guess I'll deal with the pain and hope that it goes away.
On to other things:
* Congrats to AJ on her BFP!! Let's hope that little bean sticks around for at least the next 36 weeks and that it's a very boring uneventful pregnancy (aside from the usual joys of being pregnant).
* Congrats also to Richelle and Mike! A boy and a girl...now you'll really have fun picking names!
* Major hugs to Misty. Your temps still look good though, so don't give up! It's not over until AF shows, and I'm going to be praying that she stays away for awhile! You more than deserve a sticky BFP!
* Good luck to Sherry and the big move that is hopefully coming soon. I hope your house sells quick and things go smoothly with the transition to Alabama.
* Caitlin - so great to read about the lap surgery date! I sure hope you can get the time off and that your surgery provides some much-needed answers.
And to everyone else that I haven't mentioned, if you need a hug, ((((hugs)))). And for those who have something to celebrate, Congratulations!!
Have a wonderful safe holiday weekend!

RE referral update
Since it's been 2 weeks since my referrals were put in, I thought it would be best if I try to find out why I haven't heard back on the one for the RE. I found out 2 days ago that I had to do more labwork before they could approve one of the referrals. So, I went in and did my labwork and stopped by the insurance office. (Note: I'm on military insurance so everything has to have a referral before I can go to an out-of-network provider. Stupid thing, but oh well.)
I waited for nearly 10 minutes at the office for the guy to check on the status of the RE referral. After telling another lady which referral I was asking about and also telling the guy the same (and more) info, he finally returned with an answer for me. He pulled me over to the side and informed me that I was not allowed to go to the provider I requested because the nearby Army base has an OB/GYN physician that deals with infertility. Basically, all they do is Clomid which is all I was able to do back in NoDak. I told the guy at the insurance place that I requested to go to the provider downtown because of this, but he reiterated the fact that I have to go through the Army base first before I can go downtown. What a crock of crap. It's not like the provider I want to see isn't approved for our insurance!! He's approved and he's an RE! But nooo...they don't want to spend a couple of extra dollars for me to see someone who actually specializes in infertility. Ugh....what a hassel.
Oh, and to top it all off, I was re-reading the information about referrals. The sheet my primary doctor gave me states that if the requested services can be provided at a Military Treatment Facility (MTF for short), the referral office will call the patient and inform them of this. They will then assist the patient in setting up the appointment. Yeah, none of that happened at all. I was livid. I walked out of the clinic so g'all dang fast. Never ever have I had this many problems with a military clinic. And to add to it all, I can't get in to the OB/GYN doctor until the middle of next week. At least I'll have a couple more days before my next cycle is supposed to start. I was hoping to have an appointment with the RE by this time though so we could get the ball rolling again and not have to waste precious time.

Finally!
It's about dang time that FF gave me CHs!! I wasn't sure what was going on this cycle (we're unmedicated and between doctors), and to add to it all, mother nature threw me a nice cold to deal with about the same time as O. Once I put in my temp this morning, FF puts me at 5 DPO. Granted DH and I didn't have the best timing this cycle cuz I was so exhausted and sick, but who knows. We'll know in about 10 days if this cycle turns into our "holy crap!" lucky cycle. (Very wishful thinking...)
So I've been a little absent on the blogosphere lately. I'll blame this wonderful crappy house on it though. When we moved in, we had no grass in our front or back yards, an ugly bush (more like overgrown weed) nearly blocking our front door and a half-dead bush in the backyard. To make a long story short, I've been working my tush off. I put in patio blocks in an area of our backyard so that we actually have a place for our patio set. I also took it upon myself to remove the ugly bushes since the landscapers wouldn't. Add to that the fact that I built flower pot stands for the backyard (it needed some color out there!), and just yesterday got most of the yard reseeded. I'm so sick of doing yardwork!!
As for other things...DHs birthday is this weekend. I can't wait to give him his gift! I think he's going to be super stoked, or at least I hope he will be. I also have to find some time to make a cake for him. It's just not a birthday without a birthday cake. The only problem is that he doesn't have to work on Friday, and instead wants to have a fun relaxing day and check out the pool and bowling alley among other things. I may just have to get up in the middle of the night and make it. We'll see though. I'm a little apprehensive about making a cake in this altitude. My first batch of trial cookies tasted pretty good, but they were super flat - not something I was too happy with. I did break down and buy a high-altitude cookbook though and there's some good recipes in there, so maybe I'll try one of those.
I finally got a chance to meet with my primary doctor here at our new base. After 3 days of headaches just trying to set up an appointment, I finally got one. His nurse was one of the coldest impersonable people I've ever dealt with in a healthcare setting, but he was the complete opposite. He put in referrals for me for my GI issues and infertility as well as another, so now I'm just waiting to hear something back on that. It's been 2 weeks since I saw him and I still haven't heard back on the infertility one. I requested a local RE (who is approved through my insurance), and I'm not sure if that's the hold-up or what. All I can say is if they deny it and say that I can go to the army base for it, I'm going to throw a stink. All they are able to do at the army base is basically all that I was doing with my OB/GYN back in NoDak - Clomid and minor monitoring. I want to see someone who is able to do more than that. Heck, we've already done 4 cycles of Clomid with no luck, I think it's about time for us to see someone more specialized in the field!
Other than that, there's not too much to say. I've nearly bought all my riding gear so I can ride the motorcycle with DH. He's now convinced that I need to take the motorcycle safety course so I can then get my own bike and we can go riding together with our neighbors. I'm seriously thinking about it once I have all of my gear. Imagine me - a biker chick (minus the leather chaps. Not quite my thing..).
I'm going to try to keep my updates not so few and far between. No promises though!
